I sit on the couch in my bed-sitting room, watching the snow fall outside the window. It masks the ground and the water beyond.
I’m not on board our boat, which lies at anchor in Las Hadas, MX (see www.seaventure.us for pictures). Instead, I await her and her captain and write instead from this beautiful place. I suppose, really, that being here makes me much more productive: I’ve no watch to stand as they journey south, no chores other than those of a land-dweller, no distraction of place, which I must feel if I were in Manzanillo.
I didn’t take pictures of today. I should have, but somehow the uniform white didn’t seem to lend itself to the effort. Instead, I’ll share those I caught one early morning when I couldn’t sleep and rose to greet the dawn. I took them from my balcony overlooking Sleepy Creek.
