Wind Song followed us out of the bay at Isla Coronado early Sunday morning. The water was like glass, which is fine, but doesn’t make the best use of those energy-saving white things we like to fly.
They have now headed north for the season, joining the exodus to Bahia de los Angeles. We will remain here, or thereabouts, until we cross the sea, though we may mosey again to Sweet Pea Cove on Isla San Marcos and zip east from there.
Or not. This cruising life if full of “or nots.” Because of weather, or a beautiful spot, or boat repairs, or friends we make, or proximity to towns and Internet, we each make choices to linger or leave. The main goal during hurricane season is to be within tucking distance of a hurricane hole. Here, we’re about sixteen miles north of Puerto Escondido. If need be, we can hop back down there. They do have a wonderful library.
It is difficult to leave when the back yard looks like that.
Hey BigBrother — I have been singing happy birthday to you all day long, but just now had time to sit at the computer — there are 30 minutes left in the 26th. I’m sure your partying has long since ended but you will get this in the morning. Happy 66 — I always love double digit birthdays — there is something very special about them. Hope your day was great — certainly looks as if you are in a gorgeous place to celebrate. And speaking of celebrating — you are going to be a great-uncle again — Andrew and Sarah are expecting their lst baby in February. I’m gonna be a Gramma — oh what fun. I’ll keep you posted. Love to you both — xoxoxox LS
Hey, Michael’s little sister! So glad to hear from you. Congratulations, please, to Andrew and Sarah, and expect an email from BB in the next little bit.
We hear you were in Alaska. So call or write or something and tell ALL.
