Sea Venture left Stone Island, off Mazatlan, at 12:30 AM, heading south in a windless sea, but at least the swell was minor — and that dear, darling Ford Lehman chugged right along.
They are resting off Isla Isabella, which shows up as an Obstruction on the electronic charts until one zooms way in…and then an island appears. Michael wrote that the birds formed a cloud overhead and the odor resembled a barnyard. They did not feel inspired to go ashore.
Tomorrow morning it’s off to Punta Mita. Hoping for a breeze from the right quarter and flat seas — a sailor’s dream.
