Some readers have complained that I didn’t wrap up the love story with a neat bow in Heavy Weather. I suppose I could have written an epilogue that skipped over time and catalysts, but I didn’t want the denouement to ignore the characters’ need for personal growth, for healing, for forgiveness.

I tend to think those things are important in life, which means I like to see them play out in fiction too.

Will it help if I package two books into one set? Those of you who’ve read them both can answer this better than those who’ve yet to sample either. Before I hit publish, I’m curious to know your thoughts.
