We wandered outside yesterday to check on my little boat and look at what we saw:
As you can guess, we imagined huge winds, a deluge, possibly even a tornado.
Instead, a drop or two and then a lovely sky.

Beautiful. I wish we could get some rain. Or just some clouds.
I was so surprised when we barely had any rain at all after that cloud show. We’d fetched the candles and our guests had packed their car.
But it was gorgeous!
Looked like a herd stampeding to somewhere . . .
Great shots, N.
They are, aren’t they? Michael took them with the little camera. I don’t know what he managed with the big one. I need to check those out later.
That looked magnificently grim and foreboding. I can’t believe you got away so lightly though I’m obviously glad you did. Well done Michaels for the pictures.
I know, David. I started praying right away against tornadoes. You remember, it was one of those in the form of a waterspout that slammed Sea Venture last June, and another one a few weeks ago riled up the winds enough to grab some of the trees at my son’s house.
wow – these are absolutely amazing! what is with that definite line? Great job with the photos – I love clouds 🙂
We couldn’t believe the line of clear sky on the horizon and the heavens lowering over us, Nicua. If you enlarge those with that line, you’ll see out into Core Sound where it’s clear enough to catch the line of the Outer Banks. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.
