The (miniscule) number of entries allowed me to use a small hat for the selection process.
I don’t have access to those cutesy random number thingies. So. I cut up pieces of paper, wrote names on these, folded the slips, and put them in Michael’s sailing cap. (It’s a great looking hat on my cute husband, but it doesn’t do squat to protect his ears from the sun, which is why it ought to be relegated–permanently–to the role of The Drawing Hat.)
With suitable fanfare, Michael tossed the slips of paper around inside the hat. I held the Drawing Hat high. He shuffled again. Then he squinted at me. “You can see what I’m picking, can’t you?” No, Michael, I couldn’t see–the papers were folded. Besides, who cared? I wasn’t the one choosing.
He drew out the name. Opened and read: Jane.
So, our winner is Jane Lebak, who commented as Philangelus.
Congratulations, Jane!
Your book will be sent to you as soon and you and I clarify details.
Hurrah! Jane, if you’d like a signed bookplate to go with it, just email me your address at nichole [ at ] nicholebernier.com. Thanks again for the contest and thoughtful review, Normandie.
Thank you! That’s such a lovely offer. 🙂 I’m very excited to read your book. 🙂
I had fun, Nichole. And Jane is just the sort of reader who will like your book.
The Big Draw with Trumpet Fanfare.I hope the press were in attendance. Congratulations Jane.x
I noticed, David, that you failed to enter your name in the hat. I assume you were swamped with bridals?
